As a Forklift Driver in Genemuiden, you will work in a large production hall where carpets and textile flooring solutions are manufactured. You start your day together with your team and the shift supervisor with a cup of coffee.
During your shift, you are responsible for transporting large rolls of carpet using modern forklifts equipped with a special pin attachment. You ensure that the carpet rolls are placed correctly and that the logistics process runs smoothly.
You will work in a 3- or 4-shift system:
-
00:00–06:00
-
06:00–15:00
-
15:00–00:00
Work on Saturdays is also required.
You usually work with a fixed team of 5 to 10 colleagues, but if there is a staff shortage, you may occasionally support another team. Breaks are flexible: if the machines are running smoothly, you can take short eating or restroom breaks when needed.
At the end of the workday, you discuss the shift together with your team and the shift supervisor.
After a training period of 2 to 3 months, you will be able to work independently as a forklift driver. There is plenty of variety and opportunities for growth, for example into a shift supervisor role. The atmosphere is informal, colleagues support each other, and everyone works together toward the best result. The staff association regularly organizes fun team outings.
